RE: How many ready??

Why not schedule a summer reunion. We have just done that with 6 couples who live fairly close (under 200miles) at our house, and have told them we have xtra sleeping room if they want to stay the night. Leave the RVs home, and save the fuel cost.

RE: We smelled gas when we came in yesterday

Sometime when tanks switch over there is air in the line. Try lighting a burner on your stove. If it won't light you are out of propane. We do not let our switch by themselves, that way we know which is empty.

RE: Hi! New to forum....any suggestions on new fifth-wheel?

I would bet the back of the sofa lifts off as most do. That would allow you to get it through the door.

RE: Tax Software Question

We have been using Tax Act for the past 6 years and been very happy with it. It can be purchased on line and down loaded. Cost under $20. and can include your state tax(if you have one). If you use it the next year it will "roll-over" personal info etc.

RE: Table/chairs vs booth for a dinette....

I just had to have the booth...we really needed the extra storage..Ha! It was just another place to "fill-up". We removed the booth and put in the table and chairs. Wow, I really like it! We can now have another couple over to play cards or even for dinner. No I do not miss that storage area, just because we have the space we feel a need to fill it. The bed the booth made was too short for an adult

RE: Replacement Table and Chairs

Find a small table anywhere. We found one at a local furniture store. Its round with 2 drop leaves. We just bought 2 chairs with it and purchased 2 folding chairs for extra people which we store under the bed.

RE: humidifer in coach

We always have a vent cracked open with the furnace running or not. Cooking, showers, and people put out enough humidity with out running a humidifier. Just take a peek at the windows in the morning after a night of furnace on or several people taking showers when weather is cool.

RE: Brochures, maps, and flyers

Once upon a time I used to do that too. I had a milk crate, file folders just fit into that with tabs up. Tabs were labeled by state. When we were planning trips I would just pull the state(s) file we needed.

RE: Where to stay first night out of north country in Dec.?

Just a thought...when we leave northern Michigan that time of year, we are not able to find a campground open. We also do not want to de-winterize our unit that early. We stay in Welcome centers, rest areas or Flying Js that first night. We run our furnace also. The battery hold up for that night as for water, I carry several gallon jugs with us.

RE: Camping With An Infant

Our son camped with us from the age of 3 months in a pop up. Just try to stick to their schedule as close as possible (naps, feeding, bedtime, etc.) Its really no more work than if you were home. Just relax and have fun.

RE: Portable Propane Campfire

We also have the FireDancer. Have used it often and enjoy it. It gives off plenty of heat, uses little propane, and the lid screws on tight for storage.

RE: Toilet Issues.

However, when the flush is finished, there is only about 1/2 cup of water in the bowl. Is that "correct" or "normal", or should it be more? It's an old plastic toilet in my 1973 tioga. No manuals at all for this rig... Yes its normal. Remember this is not like a standard at home toilet, hence you always need lots of water to flush. You should never let the bowl get completely dry either as the seals will dry out, and you don't really want to have to replace them.....

RE: Toilet Issues.

This is why I use a wax (gel coat) in my toilet bowl...stuff just doesn't stick to it.
